PalFest Ireland Festival: 8-16 July 2016

PalFest Ireland festival is back! PalFest Ireland is a lively, positive and culturally rich arts festival which includes music, theatre, spoken word and visual arts events to promote a cultural connection between Ireland and Palestine, and to raise awareness about the Palestinian struggle for freedom, justice and equality.
There are so many great events taking place it’s hard to pick out highlights, but here are some events we at the IPSC think you should not miss:

Fri 8 – Palfest Waterford Launch & Gaza 51 Exhibit Opening: 7pm, The Rogue Gallery, Michael Street, Waterford
Fri 8 – Ruba Shamshoum and David Rooney in Concert: 8pm, The O’Reilly Theatre, Belvedere College, Great Denmark Street, Dublin 1
Sun 10 – Flavours of Palestine Food Market: Meeting House Square, Temple Bar, Dublin 2
Mon 11 – Voices from Palestine – Muhanad Qaisy speaks on a heritage uprooted: O’Reilly Lecture Room, Belvedere College, Great Denmark Street, Dublin 1
Wed 13 – The Wanted 18 (Film Screening + Q&A – Booking Essential): 6:30pm, Lighthouse Cinema, Smithfield Square, Dublin 7
Fri 15 – Ahmed Masoud and Kíla: 8pm, Peacock Theatre Under the Abbey Theatre, Lower Abbey Street, Dublin 1
Sat 16 – John Spillane, Sive & Inni-K in Concert: 8pm, The Moat Theatre, Naas

PalFest Ireland is a volunteer run arts festival organised by Irish Artists in support of Palestine to demonstrate solidarity between the Irish arts community and the people of Palestine.
