Nakba Week 2013: IPSC commemorates the 65th Anniversary of the Palestinian Catastrophe and resistance
Wednesday 15th May 2013 will be the 65th Anniversary of ‘Nakba Day’, the day on which Palestinians all over the world remember the 1947/48 Nakba, the Palestinian Catastrophe which saw the forcible expulsion of over 750,000 indigenous Palestinians from their homes to facilitate the creation of the Zionist State of Israel.
The Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC) will be hosting a series of Nakba Week events from 11th – 17th May 2013. The events include a speaking tour by Palestinian activist, farmer and former political prisoner Mousa Abu Maria in Belfast, Cork, Limerick and Dublin, along with protests, a moving gallery, and street information stalls.
