Eurovision boycott debate on tonight’s Late Late Show – Join the online action!
We in the Irish Campaign to Boycott Eurovison 2019 in Apartheid Israel have just found out that there will be a debate on the Eurovision on tonight’s Late Late Show on RTÉ One. For some reason RTÉ have not invited any representative from the boycott campaign to the debate, and instead will have a 2 to 1 stacked panel, with former Eurovision winner Linda Martin and actor – and propagandist for Israel’s apartheid regime – Rory Cowan arguing against a boycott, while well-known singer and human rights advocate Mary Coughlan will be the sole voice arguing in favour. Sarah McTernan, the Irish entrant, will also perform in studio.
As RTÉ have taken a decision to show extreme imbalance on the panel, and to ignore activists from the campaign which has been running for almost year, we need all of you to make a big noise on social media.
Please join our Twitterstorm calling on RTÉ, Sarah McTernan and all people of conscience to boycott the Eurovision in apartheid Israel, which is being used to whitewash Israel’s apartheid regime and its atrocious record of war crimes, human rights abuses, occupation and oppression.
The show starts at 9.30pm and we are asking you to tweet or email the show with your support for the Palestinian call for a boycott of the Eurovision.
