PP#42 – Fayrouz Sharqawi & Alys Samson-Estapé on ‘Coronacrisis: Anti-Palestinian Racism and Grassroots Resistance’ [2020-06-16] – (Download here)
INFO:
During the coronacrisis, one thing that has not been on lockdown is Israel’s system of occupation and apartheid. On the contrary, the threat of annexation of part of the West Bank, arbitrary arrests of students and human rights activists, destruction of homes, fields and health centres, murder of young Palestinians in the streets, have all continued apace.
In this episode of the Palestine Podcast, Fayrouz Sharqawi and Alys Samson Estapé discuss the impact of the coronavirus in Palestine, how the Palestinians are organizing themselves during to continue resisting the occupation, and how can we help to put an end to international complicity with the Israeli apartheid regime.
About the speakers
Fayrouz Sharqawi is the Advocacy Coordinator at Grassroots Jerusalem, a platform for Palestinian and international activists and organizations in occupied Palestine.
Alys Samson-Estapé is the European campaigns coordinator of the Palestinian BDS National Committee (BNC), the leadership of the BDS Movement.
