IPSC Christmas Cards - All I Want for Christmas is a Free Palestine!
A6 size Christmas cards, printed on high-quality card, with envelopes included. Each pack contains 10 cards.
This Christmas remember the children of Palestine by sending our new Christmas card featuring the iconic Palestinian cartoon character, the 10-year-old child Handala, raising the Palestinian flag and making his Christmas at Israel’s apartheid wall. The full colour image was created by Irish graphic designer Kevin Squires.
On the inside is a simple greeting in Irish, English and Arabic:
Cuimhnigh ar pháistí na Palaistíne an Nollaig seo / This Christmas remember the children of Palestine.
On the back of the card it in small type it reads: “The image portrays Handala, the 10-year-old refugee child created by Palestinian cartoonist Naji Al-Ali (1938 – 1987). Handala represents the artist at the age when he was expelled from his homeland during the 1948 Nakba – the forcible expulsion of two thirds of the Palestinian people – and he will never grow old until he returns home.
Today, around half of all Palestinians in the world are children, most of them living under Israel’s Apartheid regime or in enforced exile. Due to Israel’s occupation and racist polices – including arresting and imprisoning around 700 minors every year – the majority of Palestinian children are denied a normal childhood.”
Sending this card will let your friends and family know what’s happening in Palestine, reminding them to spare a thought for the children of Palestine this Christmas.
