[Wicklow] IPSC Annual Sponsored Walk: Wicklow Coastal Ramble – 30 Sept 2023

The 16th Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign Sponsored Walk will take place on Saturday 30th September 2023 – starting at 12.30pm.
The walk will take us on a ramble along Wicklow’s beautiful east coast from Greystones to Newcastle, where we’ll finish up with a meal and some liquid sustenance.
PLEASE JOIN, SHARE & INVITE YOUR FRIENDS ON FACEBOOK, THANKS!
The last fifteen walks have been enormous fun and raised a lot of money for the IPSC, as well as letting people get to know each other a little better and have a bit of craic together.
IMPORTANT: If you are interested in coming along and getting sponsorship (there is no minimum sponsorship fee!) then please email info@ipsc.ie with your details, put ‘Sponsored Walk’ in the subject title and we will send you on a sponsorship card and any further relevant info. Alternatively, you can phone us on (01) 8727798- and leave a message if there’s no answer.
How to get there and back:
If you’re coming from Dublin, the easiest way is to get the DART to Greystones to arrive at around 12.20. We’ll be meeting outside the DART Station (map here) and setting off at 12.30pm – keep an eye out for some Palestinian flags flying.
On the way back, from Newcastle there are a number of options back into Dublin city, but the best way is to get the 84 Bus to Bray and from there take either the DART or bus into the city centre.
What to bring:
Everyone should bring a packed lunch, enough to drink, warm and waterproof clothing, hiking/walking boots. The walk is not difficult, it will last approx 3 hours and is mainly flat, but participants should have a reasonable level of fitness. People will also be required to sign an indemnity form prior to the start of the walk. If you have any inquiries specific to the walk (as opposed to sponsorship etc) please contact Pat on 085 7432293.
We hope to hear from interested people soon!
