[Waterford] Hope in the midst of calamity. A global view from Palestine with Mazin Qumsiyeh
Grace O’Sullivan MEP to welcomes Dr. Mazin Qumsiyeh to Waterford next week for a talk “Hope in the Midst of Calamity”.
Mazin and his wife Jessie work at the Palestine Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability in Bethlehem. They are working in some very challenging conditions, but doing absolutely invaluable work for the people of Palestine that will be felt for generations to come.
Mazin previously taught and lectured in the United States before returning back to his hometown to set up the Palestine Institute for Biodiversity & Sustainability and the Palestine Museum of Natural History. Mazin’s scientific background allows him to succinctly tell the story of occupation in Palestine, and diagnose it accordingly.
Whether you are an active supporter of Palestine or this is your first chance to listen – we are welcome to to come to this event next Wednesday 24th in St. Patrick’s Gateway, Waterford at 7.30pm.
Please share this with anyone who you think might be interested in attending 😊
