[Dublin] Promises Development Education course on Palestine (Palestine Education)
Palestine Education is an exciting new development education initiative which aims to provide up to date, relevant and reliable information to those wishing to understand the roots and realities of the Israel-Palestine conflict.
The initiative includes a six week course entitled ‘Promises‘ which aims to provide an introduction to human rights, media and campaigning. This short interactive course encourages empathy with the victims of human rights violations, and equips them with the knowledge, skills and confidence to become local and global advocates for human rights.
After its first highly successful run earlier this year, an updated ‘Promises‘ course commences on Tuesday October 11th 2011 from 6.30-8.30pm in The Irish Aid Centre, O’Connell St. Dublin 1 and runs on subsequent Tuesday nights until November 15th 2011.
Facilitator: Freda Hughes BA, PGCE
The course fee is €80 or €60 for students and unwaged. For more information or to book a place contact palestineeducation@gmail.com or see http://www.palestineeducation.co.uk
