Portadown branch of the IPSC will be holding a vigil on the Garvaghy Road this Thursday evening, 25th May, at 7.30pm in support of over 1,500 Palestinian political prisoners who have been hunger-strike since Monday 17th April. The protest will coincide with an international day of action being planned globally on Thursday to raise awareness about the mass hunger-strike.

The hunger-strikers’ demands are for basic human rights: an end to the denial of family visits, proper health care and medical treatment, the right to access distance higher education and an end to solitary confinement and administrative detention (imprisonment without charge or trial).
