[Galway] Oíche Eolais BDS / BDS Information Night (NUIG Palestine Solidarity Society)
We are the NUI Galway Palestine Solidarity Society. We are opposed to the occupation of Palestine and current U.S.-Israeli imperialist policy against those indigenous to the land.
An international campaign of BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) was launched in Palestine in 2005 against the Zionist State of Israel.
We are campaigning for the NUIG Students Union to endorse the BDS movement via a referendum amongst NUIG students. As there are many activists sympathetic to the cause but without adequate knowledge on the subject we’re holding this information night to educate our fellow comrades on the subject so that we have a stronger, more united force come election week! Students & Non-Students welcome.
The meeting will take place on Thursday 13th February at 7pm in Room AC204, Arts & Science Building Concourse, National University of Galway,.
Organised by the NUIG Palestine Solidarity Society.
