It is a tradition in towns and cities across Ireland in recent years that people come together on New Year’s Eve to show solidarity with the people of Palestine.

Here in Galway, we will be meeting up at the Spanish Arch at 2pm on December 31 to wave our flags, show solidarity, and remind people that 2022 has been another horrific year for the people of Palestine.

Come along, raise a flag, meet like-minded people, and remind the world that Galway people have huge hearts, as we showed in our massive demonstration for Gaza in May of last year.

Students, and people from the Middle East, are especially welcome as we were delighted to see Palestine Solidarity being revived with a new society at University of Galway in September of this year.
