Palestinian Culture Night – A fundraising evening for theatrical adaptation of Returning to Haifa by Ghassan Kanafani
Monday 6th October at 7pm in Jerusalem Restaurant, 77 Camden Street Lower, Dublin 2
We present an evening dedicated to Palestinian culture at which delicious Palestinian food will be served, while the notes of Palestinian music are played with traditional instruments. The music will be interspersed with literary readings, featuring beautiful pieces by Palestinian poets and writers. This is sure to be a magical and utterly unforgettable night!
All proceeds from the event will go towards the New Theatre’s production of Returning to Haifa, a theatrical adaptation of Ghassan Kanafani’s iconic work of Palestinian literature. The play will run in Dublin in November 2014, when this work of high historical and literary value will bring the issue of Palestinian refugees into the public spotlight.
Entrance is €40 per person (includes meal and entertainment). You may bring your own wine. Places are limited so please book in advance by contacting Fatin at 086 026 7721 (DO NOT EMAIL IPSC, THANKS)
Organsied by the New Theatre production crew for Returning to Haifa.
