[Dublin] Nakba 66: Moving Gallery remembering Al Nakba

On Thursday 15 May 2014 (Nakba Day) at 5pm, the IPSC will hold a ‘Moving Gallery’, where people will walk from St. Stephen’s Green (Grafton St entrance) to the Spire on O’Connell Street carrying large photographs from Al Nakba and Palestinian flags, and against key symbolising the Palestinian right of return to their homeland denied them by the State of Israel for 66 years.

The event will take place to commemorate what Palestinians call Nakba Day which marks the 66th anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba (‘Catastrophe’) which saw the expulsion of over 700,000 Palestinians, forcibly uprooted from their homeland in an act of ethnic cleansing that facilitated the foundation of the State of Israel

We are assembling at 5pm at the Grafton Street entrance to St. Stephens’ Green, and will set off  down Grafton St towards the Spire shortly afterwards.
