[Dublin] Lecture by Rabbi Arik Ascherman (Trócaire)
Rabbi Arik Ascherman is the Director of Rabbis for Human Rights, one of Trócaire’s partners in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories. For decades Rabbi Arik Ascherman has been at the forefront of defending the human rights of marginalised communities within Israel and the Palestinian Territories. Come along to hear Rabbi Ascherman who speaks & acts in solidarity with the Palestinian people in Dublin on Tuesday 6th August at 7.30pm in The Oak Room, The Mansion House, Dublin 2.
He has spoken out about “the enormity of the injustice” of house demolitions, the confiscation of Palestinian land and the destruction of Palestinian farmer’s olive groves.
He has been arrested many times for peaceful protest in standing up against human rights violations and has risked his life by obstructing Israeli bulldozers which have sought to demolish Palestinian homes in East Jerusalem.
Places are limited, to book your place, please RSVP by emailing campaigns [at] trocaire.ie
