[Dublin] IPSC Annual Sponsored Walk: Royal Canal Ramble – 16 Oct 2022

The 15th Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign Sponsored Walk will take place on Sunday 16th October 2022 – starting at 11am.
The walk will take us along Dublin’s beautiful Royal Canal walk, starting at Broombridge LUAS Station, through west Dublin, and finishing up with a meal and some liquid sustenance over the Kildare border in lovely Leixlip.
PLEASE JOIN, SHARE & INVITE YOUR FRIENDS ON FACEBOOK, THANKS!
The last fourteen walks have been enormous fun and raised a lot of money for the IPSC, as well as letting people get to know each other a little better and have a bit of craic together.
IMPORTANT: If you are interested in coming along and getting sponsorship (there is no minimum sponsorship fee!) then please email info@ipsc.ie with your details, put ‘Sponsored Walk’ in the subject title and we will send you on a sponsorship card and any further relevant info. Alternatively, you can phone us on (01) 8727798- and leave a message if there’s no answer.
How to get there and back:
The easiest way is to get the LUAS to Broombridge to arrive at around 10.50. We’ll be meeting at the LUAS stop (map here) and setting off at 11am – keep an eye out for some Palestinian flags flying.
Onthe way back, from Leixlip there are a number of options back into Dublin city, including the train and the C3 and 53 buses from the town centre.
What to bring:
Everyone should bring a packed lunch, enough to drink, warm and waterproof clothing, hiking/walking boots. The walk is not difficult, it will last approx 3 hours and is mainly flat, but participants should have a reasonable level of fitness. People will also be required to sign an indemnity form prior to the start of the walk. If you have any inquiries specific to the walk (as opposed to sponsorship etc) please contact Pat on 085 7432293.
We hope to hear from interested people soon!
