[Dublin] Appeal to Jewellers – End the trade in Israeli Blood Diamonds

The US Chair of the Kimberley Process has proposed that the definition of a “conflict diamond” should remain restricted to rough diamonds only thus allowing cut & polished blood diamonds from Israel to evade the human rights standards applied to rough diamonds. As KP members ready for a meeting in Washington on June 4th it’s important to send a message to jewellers worldwide that the trade in cut and polished blood diamonds from Israel is unacceptable to the public, damaging and dangerous for the jewellery industry and especially so for the victims of Israel’s diamond-funded war crimes and hegemony.
Information stall and leafleting will be taking place on Saturday June 2, 2012 from 11am until 5pm on Grafton Street, Dublin 2.
