[Cork] Monthly Boycott Israeli Goods March and Demo

Join the IPSC Cork branch for the monthly boycott demo, at 1pm in Daunt Square on Saturday 29th December.

The Israeli government is continuing unabated in its violations of international law, announcing plans for the construction of an additional 3,000 illegal settlement housing units in the West Bank in response to Palestine obtaining recognition as an observer to the UN. This is a crucial political moment for the Palestinian cause.

We people of conscience can show our opposition to Israel’s violations by advocating the boycott of Israeli companies, goods and services violating Palestinian human rights and international law.

Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2013 is our occasion for making our voice heard in Europe.

We must encourage the Irish Government to push for an EU ban on settlement goods.
BDS IS WORKING!

The consumer boycott is beginning to bite: a fifth of Israeli exporters reported a drop in demand as a result of the boycott in the wake of the Gaza massacre. Popular pressure has forced many retailers to stop selling Israeli produce and produce from illegal settlements in particular.

So please keep up the good work, come one come all.
