[Cork] Stop attacking Gaza – Boycott Israeli Goods march and rally (IPSC)

On Saturday 27th August, at 1pm in Duant Square, cork please join the Cork IPSC to show solidarity with the people of Gaza who once again have been attacked by Israel, and to call on people to boycott Israeli goods and support the BDS movement for justice in Palestine.
Last Sunday, between 50 and 70 air-strikes took place – all in so-called ‘retaliation’ for a single rocket that struck Sderot earlier in that day, causing no damage or injuries.
The airstrikes constituted, in the words of one analyst, a “deliberate escalation” by Israeli authorities.
There is speculation that the influence of hawkish Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman is behind the intensification in response.
Ominously, the US State Department has urged its citizens to leave Gaza “as soon as possible.”
On this date 24 months ago Israel had killed over 2,000 Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip in a brutal military assault.
Your support is valued by the people of Gaza who must find it hard not feel as if the world has decided to look the other way.
So, please join us in Daunt Square at 1:00pm, or later in the Palestinian Information Centre* between 2:00 and 5:00pm.
