Every year members of the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign do a sponsored walk. The IPSC are fundraising to raise awareness in Ireland of the illegal occupation of Palestine and the on-going struggles Palestinians face. Money collected will be used to host a range of speakers, artists and musicians and pay for their transport costs and other expenses. This is one way to highlight the illegal occupation and its effect on Palestinians. In May we will be hosting a Palestinian human rights activist and others to speak about the situation on the ground in Palestine.

This year we are visiting the Galtee Mountains where we will have designated guides for various levels of walkers and climbers. If you would like to take part in the walk you can collect a Sponsorship card from Solidarity Books on Douglas Street. When taking a card please ensure to leave your name, telephone number and contact details.

The hill walk is taking place on Sunday the 14th April leaving the Opera house at 11am sharp. A car pool will be organised therefore when leaving your name and contact details can you also say whether or not you have a car and if you are willing to drive or say that you will need a seat.
