Linda Ramsden is originally from Minnesota, USA, but has lived in the UK since 1973. She has a Christian Zionist background however her theology was challenged when she met a Palestinian Christian Vicar in 1988.
Linda is the Director of ICAHD UK, which was launched in the Houses of Parliament in June 2004, to support the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions (ICAHD) based in Jerusalem and she has physically helped to rebuild six Palestinian homes in East Jerusalem. She has represented ICAHD at both the EU and UN.
She spends several weeks each year in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territory, where she leads in-depth study tours, including tours for special interest groups of professionals such as clinicians and lawyers.
She is the 2006 recipient of the Sheila McKechnie Award in the conflict resolution category.
