Mark Thomas has been a performer since 1985; he has toured the UK and abroad, has made seven series of his own show for Channel 4, and worked as a comic an activist and a writer. Now also a bestselling author, with four books to his name, Mark finds a very British way to try to comprehend the Middle Eastern problem with his latest book ‘Extreme Rambling’.

During 2010 Mark decided to go rambling in the Middle East and walked the entire length of the Israeli Separation Barrier, crossing between the Israeli and the Palestinian side. This is the story of 300,000 settlers, a 750 km wall, six arrests, one stoning, too much humus and one simple question…

….Can you ever get away from it all with a good walk?

Come and hear Mark read from his book and talk about his extreme rambling experiences

‘Moving and inspiring…as gripping as any live performance you will see.’ The Guardian

‘Thomas is an accomplished anecdotalist, creating instantly accessible characters, from plummy post-colonial diplomats to a Middle Eastern Monty Python fanatic. Horrifying and hilarious… blisteringly powerful.’ Evening Standard

‘A brilliant investigative journalist disguised as a comedian… very funny indeed.’ The Daily Telegraph
