[Belfast] International Solidarity Day with Palestine at Queens (QUB Pal-Soc)

The QUB Palestine Solidarity Society is holding a Solidarity Day for Palestine in accordance with the UN mandated International Day of Solidarity which occurs annually on the 29th of November. (http://www.un.org/en/events/palestinianday/)
We would like to invite all of you to come along and take part throughout the day where we will have a stall in the Queens’ Students’ Union with information leaflets and flyers along with various items for sale.
There will also be petitions for you all to sign up to regarding house demolitions, the treatment of Palestinian prisoners and a Solidarity with Nonviolent resistence petition. These petitions will also come with their own information leaflets for you to take away with you to help raise awareness among your friends and community.
Our society is also currently fundraising to help keep it afloat and to ensure we can secure Norman Finkelstein for his February tour in the UK and Northern Ireland in 2012.
Please come along and enjoy taking part with us there will be events occuring throughout the day include the raising of a Palestinian flag on the Students Union premises and a Solidarity gathering in support of the Holy Land Trusts events in Manger Square Bethlehem.
We are being supported in this event by groups including the Holy Land Trust, Combatants for Peace and the Sheikh Jarrah Solidarity Movement.
We hope to see you on the day between 10:00am and 16:30pm.
Please feel free to share this information with your contacts.
Kindest Regards,
QUB Palestine Solidarity
