[Belfast] Crimes Against Humanity: A present day perspective (The MAC & Transitional Justice Institute and School of Law at the University of Ulster)
Orla Devine will give a short talk on her motivations for taking part in the Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme in Palestine and Israel (EAPPI). This volunteer programme sends international volunteers to the West Bank to monitor and report on violations of human rights and international humanitarian law. Orla will discuss some of the violations of human rights that she witnessed and detail how people in Northern Ireland can help.
Respond as a group to the stories and discussions by creating a message of hope that Orla will deliver to a community she worked with in Palestine.
This is a pre-show event for Tejas Verdes, which begins at 8pm.
This event is developed by The MAC in association with the Transitional Justice Institute and School of Law at the University of Ulster.
