[Bantry] Film Screening: Tears of Gaza + Q&A with Dervla Murphy & Elaine Bradley (IPSC)

On Friday 17th July at 2:30pm
The Harbour Room in the Westlodge Hotel, Bantry.

The first presentation in Ireland of Vibeke Løkkeberg’s powerful film.

On the first anniversary of the last attack on Gaza that killed 2,139 people, including over 490 children; three Palestinian children: Amira, Razmia and Yahya tell how their lives were changed in the ‘Cast Lead’ Israeli assault. (N.B. Because this film covers events the mainstream media will not, it is not suitable for under 16s)

Dervla Murphy and Elaine Bradley will hold a post-screening Q & A session.

Dervla has written two highly informative books on Palestine. These will help all those who want to acquire an understanding beyond the incomplete contextualised coverage served up by the mainstream media.

Elaine is an activist for human rights in Palestine and member of Academics for Palestine. She has recently returned from 8 months in Gaza and the West Bank.
She is the former CEO of Volunteering Ireland and has worked with governments, the UN and the EU.
