[Ballyliffin] Film Screening: Gaza + Q&A panel discussion (DHFF)

Screening of ‘GAZA’ will take place on Sunday Sept 29th at 8pm in Screen 1 of the Ballyliffin Hotel, Ballyliffin, Co. Donegal as part of the Disappear Here Film Festival.

This elegantly shot and masterfully crafted portrait of Palestinian life offers a rare chance to be immersed in the heart of Gaza, as we glimpse behind the walls of this fortified land, to get to know real people who inhabit it. A beautiful portrait of everyday Gazan citizens, leading meaningful lives beyond the rubble of perennial occupation. This film continues its highly successful festival run of screenings across the world, and we are delighted to bring it to Ballyliffin.

* We will be making a donation from the proceeds of this screening to the Gaza Red Carpet Festival appeal. This festival in Gaza showcases films on human rights and aims to provide Palestinians with a rare opportunity to watch films & escape into the stories being told on screen. The festival had been running since 2015 but ended last year due to lack of funds. Our donation is a small but hopefully significant gesture, with donation boxes also available on the night.

A Q&A with a panel including Catherine Hutton of the Derry branch of the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign will follow this screening.

Hosted by the Disappear Here Film Festival.
