Professor John Doyle: Director of the Institute for International Conflict Resolution and Reconstruction and Executive Dean of DCU Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences

Professor Vincent Durac: Lecturer in Middle East Politics in University College Dublin and Visiting Professor at Bethlehem University

Claire Devlin: Programme Advisor/Christian Aid

Eoghan Rice: Head of Communications/Trócaire and Co-Producer of the Documentary ‘This is Palestine’.

November 2017 marks the 100th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration and 70 years since the partition of Palestine. The panel will discuss the legacies of the Declaration, the politics of partition (including a comparative perspective on Ireland/Northern Ireland) and the role of the academic community and civil society in contributing to a just political settlement for the Palestinian issue.

This panel discussion will be chaired and introduced by Dr. Gillian Wylie and Dr. Yaser Alashqar, Trinity College Dublin.
