The Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC) condemned last night’s raids by Israeli occupation forces on the offices of six highly respected and effective Palestinian human rights organisations. These organisations were designated as “terrorist entities” by Israel in October 2021, a move that has been openly rejected by nine EU states, including Ireland. Late yesterday, Apartheid Israel’s forces raided the offices of the human rights organisations, confiscated equipment, documents and materials, sealed their doors, and left notices declaring them unlawful organisations and ordering them closed. In the office of Al Haq, the soldiers tore to the ground an Irish flag which had … Continue reading →

Not only do all of them face the very grave threat of the Covid-19 virus spreading in such enclosed spaces, they also face the problem of widespread medical negligence by Israeli prison authorities. You can watch and share our short video message of solidarity above or on any of the following … Continue reading →

Celebrating 14 years! Israeli Apartheid Week is an annual international series of events held across the globe. Each year, Israeli Apartheid Week takes place across the world. It aims to raise awareness about Israel’s ongoing settler-colonial project, apartheid policies over the Palestinian people, and to build support for the growing campaign of Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) against Israel. Today, November 29th, is International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, and we in the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC) send greetings of solidarity from Ireland to Palestinians everywhere as they struggle for their freedom and self-determination. The UN chose this day, 29th November, to mark the shameful day in 1947 when the UN voted to partition Palestine against the wishes of the indigenous people – an act that would lead to the ethnic cleansing of over 750,000 Palestinians during the Nakba (catastrophe) between 1947 and 1949. 70 years on, Palestinians continue to suffer the disastrous consequences of that imperial … Continue reading →

In the aftermath of destructive military onslaught on Gaza by Israeli forces which cost the lives of over 2,000 Palestinians in 2014, Portadown IPSC made contact with community workers in Khan Younis to establish a means of providing material assistance to those most affected by the conflict. A proposal was received back from Gaza in relation to a potential project which sought to provide direct assistance to women in those families where the main bread-winner was either killed or seriously injured as a result of the Israeli bombardment. That initiative envisaged providing training and employment opportunities for women by creating a … Continue reading →

Today, April 17th, is Palestinian Prisoners’ Day. Yesterday IPSC branches in Dublin and Portadown hosted information stalls dedicated to the issue of political prisoners in Apartheid Israel’s jails – where torture and other physical and psychological ill treatment, denial of visitation rights, terrible food and appalling conditions are routine. Since 1967 Israeli has imprisoned over 800,000 Palestinians – around 1/4 of the male population in the OPT – and currently holds over 7,640 political prisoners, including 700 internees, 68 women and 420 children, the youngest being a 12-year-old girl. All are treated with the same callousness regardless of age or … Continue reading →
