The Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC) warmly welcomes the passing of a motion by Waterford City and County Council that the Waterford Metropolitan District will twin with the Ramallah Municipality in Palestine. We commend the work done by local activists in the South East branch of the IPSC to achieve this twinning which is another shining example of the unbreakable solidarity between the peoples of Ireland and Palestine. Answering the Palestinian call for a global day of action, the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign and other groups will be holding a series of actions around Ireland on the 25th and 26th October 2019. We are calling for a boycott of Puma due to their continued sponsorship of the Football Association of Apartheid Israel. The Israeli FA allows teams based in Israel’s colonial settlements in occupied Palestine to be members, despite the illegality of these settlements.
