In Pictures: Hands Off Jerusalem protest at US Embassy in Dublin

In protest at the Trump Administration’s decision to recognise Israeli-occupied Jerusalem as the capital of apartheid Israel and move the US Embassy there, the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC) held an emergency lunchtime demonstration outside the US Embassy in Dublin on a bitterly cold Friday, 8th December. A large number of people gathered to denounce the move, and there were speeches from the Lord Mayor Of Dublin Micheál Mac Donncha, Dublin City Councillor John Lyons, and Martin O’Quigley from the IPSC. BDS Movement statement on US decision to recognise Jerusalem as capital of apartheid Israel

We carry below an official statement from the Palestinian Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions National Committee, the leadership of the global BDS movement. IPSC Chair: ‘Trump is a danger to us all – we must build effective and creative resistance movements for liberation’

The Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC) supported the protest on Thursday 17th Novemeber in opposition US President-elect Trump that took place outside the US Embassy. The protest was called by a coalition of groups including the IPSC, United Against Racism, Friends of the Earth, ROSA and People Before Profit-Anti Austerity Alliance. Organisers said they were gravely concerned with the danger the Trump presidency poses, to the people of the US, Ireland, Palestine and the whole planet.
