Appeal to the Riverdance company not to tour Israel

Note: There will be a final action in the IPSC’s series of ongoing protests at the Gaiety Theatre before Riverdance heads off to perform for Israeli Apartheid – so please make the effort to come along on Thursday 18th August! Irish Congress of Trade Unions maintains commitment to BDS and moves policy forward

At its Biennial Delegate Conference this week in Killarney the Irish Congress of Trade Unions, representing the entirety of the Irish trade union movement across the island, demonstrated its continued commitment to Palestinian solidarity and the Boycott Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign. As well as the two agenda motions on Palestine conference also considered an emergency motion condemning the sabotage of the Irish ship MV Saoirse as it prepared to breach the illegal Israeli blockade. Audio: ‘The achievements of the Flotilla Movement and building solidarity with Palestine’

On Thursday 7th July the Irish Ship To Gaza Campaign hosted a public meeting featuring returnees from Freedom Flotilla II talking about the achievements of the Flotilla Movement and future actions for building solidarity with Palestine. The talk took place in the Connolly Room in Dublin’s Liberty Hall and over 50 people were in attendance.
