Report: Israeli Apartheid Week 2014

Between 1st and 8th March, Ireland took part in the 10th annual Israeli Apartheid Week with a series of events including meetings and protests organised by the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC). On Saturday 1st March, the Dublin IPSC branch of the kicked off  IAW with a Boycott Israeli Goods day of action. We visited four city centre supermarkets, making consumers aware of their presence, the connection between these products and the occupation of Palestine and asking people to boycott them. The Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign is proud to present a speaking tour featuring Palestinian activist, farmer and former political prisoner Mousa Abu Maria. Israeli academic to speak in Dublin and Cork in support of academic boycott of Israel

Professor Haim Bresheeth, a renowned Israeli-born academic and documentary film-maker, will be speaking in colleges in Dublin and Cork next week in support of the Teachers Union of Ireland (TUI) and its conference resolution supporting an academic boycott of Israel. At its Annual Congress on Thursday 4th April 2013, the Teachers’ Union of Ireland (TUI) became the first academic union in Europe to endorse the Palestinian call for an academic boycott of Israel. Poetic Injustice: Remi Kanazi mini-tour in Cork and Dublin (27-29 Nov)

The Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign is proud to present  acclaimed Palestinian-American performance poet Remi Kanazi in Cork (27 & 28 Nov) and Dublin (29 Nov). Remi Kanazi is a poet, writer, and activist based in New York City. He is the author of the new released collectionof poetry, Poetic Injustice: Writings on Resistance and Palestine and the editor of Poets For Palestine (Al Jisser Group, 2008).
