Action on Annexation: Contact the Irish government to demand sanctions on Apartheid Israel

With the full backing of the US, and a virtual silence of the EU, from 1st of July, Apartheid Israel says it will begin the process of annexing some 30% of the Palestinian land it occupies, in total violation of international law. As this illegal annexation of large parts of Palestine looms, we’re asking people to mobilize to put pressure on politicians for real and meaningful action, not hollow platitudes, in defence of the Palestinian people and their right to self-determination and freedom! Action Item: #ReclaimYourSpace – Stand against hate & support Palestinian freedom

Around the world the space for standing up for Palestinian freedom and rights is being shut down by those that oppose our shared values. They are using false claims of antisemitism to deny the Palestinian reality of living under Israel’s colonial system of Apartheid, occupation, oppression and dispossession. We are now reaching a critical point. Attacks are moving from smear campaigns that fuel fear and hate to political and legal initiatives that are restricting freedom of speech and the right to hold those committing injustice accountable. This is happening in the US, Germany, France, UK and elsewhere in Europe – as … Continue reading

Petition: Sarah McTernan – Please Don’t Go to Eurovision 2019 in Apartheid Israel

Ireland must play no part in the art-washing of Israeli oppression, and we are asking the Irish entrant Sarah McTernan not to perform at Eurovision 2019 in Apartheid Israel. Palestinian artists, journalists and civil society groups have asked international artists of conscience to boycott the 2019 Eurovision due to be staged in Israel, due to Israel’s “regime of military occupation, settler-colonialism and apartheid” which is “shamelessly using Eurovision as part of its official ‘Brand Israel’ strategy”. In solidarity with this call from the oppressed Palestinian people we ask you to sign this petition. CLICK HERE TO SIGN THE PETITION ASKING … Continue reading

The so-called Prawer Plan envisions the forced displacement of up to tens of thousands indigenous Palestinian Bedouin citizens of Israel from their ancestral land in the Naqab (Negev) desert in southern Israel and their removal to reservations, while the land is given over for the exclusive use of Israeli Jews. Action Item: Petition – Vote no to the EU-Israel ACAA agreement

Please sign the following petition against the EU-Israel ACAA agreement which is being debated now in the European Parliament. The rejection of ACAA is important for the promotion of peace and justice. In its agreements with third countries, we believe that the EU should promote and respect human rights and fundamental values. The benefits brought by the adoption of such agreements should not be built on breaches of international law, unlawful or inequitable exploitation of resources and/or unfair and discriminatory practices. In the case of the EU-Israel ACAA, EU citizens do not want to benefit from Israeli control over Palestinian … Continue reading

Action Item: Sign petition ‘Remove UEFA 2013 European Under-21 Championship from Israel’

It took three months of hunger strike and the near death of a Palestinian footballer, held for three years without charge or trial under the ‘Unlawful Combatants Law’ which is itself illegal under international law, for the Israeli authorities to agree to a release deal. While we cautiously welcome the deal that should see Mahmoud Sarsak released on 10 July 2012, we are alarmed that Olympic squad goalkeeper Omar Abu Rois and Ramallah player Mohammed Nimr are also being held by Israel without charge. We maintain that a state which holds sportsmen as political prisoners is unfit to host an international sporting event. This … Continue reading

Already, US, Palestinian, Israeli, Turkish and Lebanese organizations have made requests for the Chili Peppers to not cross the international picket line and respect the Palestinian call for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions. We will continue to bring to light the injustices that Palestinians face as a result of Occupation and apartheid policies and show why BDS is a moral action for artists – including the Red … Continue reading
