Israeli Apartheid Week 2019 (23 Feb – 6 March)

The 15th Annual Israeli Apartheid Week will take place in Ireland between 23rd February and 6th March 2019. IAW is an international series of events that seeks to raise awareness about Israel’s apartheid regime over the Palestinian people and build support for the growing Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement. It now takes place in over 200 cities across the world, where events such as lectures, film screenings, direct action, cultural performances, postering, among many more help in grassroots organizing for effective solidarity with the Palestinian liberation struggle. Between 7th and 14th March 2015 the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign was proud to be a part of the 11th Israeli Apartheid Week, an annual international series of events including rallies, lectures, performances, films, multimedia displays and protest actions held in cities and campuses across the globe. Members and supporters of the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity campaign brought the Boycott Israeli Goods message to shoppers and shops in Dublin on 7th March 2015 by visiting several city centre outlets that stock Israeli goods, making consumers aware of their presence, the connection between these products and the occupation of Palestine and asking people to boycott them. Report: Israeli Apartheid Week 2014

Between 1st and 8th March, Ireland took part in the 10th annual Israeli Apartheid Week with a series of events including meetings and protests organised by the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC). On Saturday 1st March, the Dublin IPSC branch of the kicked off  IAW with a Boycott Israeli Goods day of action. Victory in Galway as NUIG Students’ Union votes to join BDS movement

The Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC) has welcomed the passing of motion calling on the National University of Galway (NUIG) Students’ Union to actively participate in the Palestinian-led Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions campaign against Israel until it ends the occupation of Palestine and complies with its obligations under international law. The motion, which reads in full “That NUI Galway Students’ Union actively supports the campaign of Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions against the State of Israel.” was passed by an almost  2 to 1 margin (1,954 to 1,054 votes) during a student referendum held on March 6th. On Saturday 1st March, the Dublin branch of the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign kicked off Israeli Apartheid Week 2014 with a Boycott Israeli Goods day of action. We visited four city centre supermarkets, making consumers aware of their presence, the connection between these products and the occupation of Palestine and asking people to boycott them. On Thursday 23rd February, as part of Israeli Apartheid Week 2012, the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC) was proud to present the Irish Premiere of the brand new film ‘Roadmap to Apartheid’ by film-makers Ana Nogueira & Eron Davidson. The 90 minute documentary film, takes a look at the current situation in Palestine through the lens of South African Apartheid; comparing the two regimes in a manner not flattering for the Israeli state.
