On Saturday 12th November 2011, Dublin’s central shopping district Grafton Street saw the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign stage a virtual Israeli checkpoint highlighting the brutality and humiliation faced by Palestinians every day as they attempt to go about their daily lives. The IPSC were exposing the role Irish cement multinational CRH plays in the building of the illegal apartheid wall, checkpoints and settlements. In just a few hours we collected over 300 signatures for our petition calling on CRH to divest from it’s Israeli subsidiary the Mashav Group which owns Nesher cement.
