Answering the Palestinian call for a global day of action, the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign and other groups will be holding a series of actions around Ireland on the 25th and 26th October 2019. We are calling for a boycott of Puma due to their continued sponsorship of the Football Association of Apartheid Israel. The Israeli FA allows teams based in Israel’s colonial settlements in occupied Palestine to be members, despite the illegality of these settlements. Local activists have expressed their anger after the UK immigration service denied visas to Palestinian athletes due to compete in Sunday’s Derry marathon.
