For more than 75 years Palestinians have lived under an Apartheid regime imposed by Israel. We are asking people to sign our pledge to help End Israeli Apartheid. Israel has created and maintained laws, policies, and practices that deliberately oppress Palestinians. This ensures Palestinians live under a system of Jewish-Israeli domination across Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories, and affects Palestinian refugees displaced in neighbouring countries. We need your help! We have learned that the hugely important Illegal Israeli Settlements Divestment Bill will be voted on in the Dáil this coming Tuesday, 16th May. The legislation, moved by John Brady TD, seeks to end Irish state investment in companies that are complicit in the building and maintenance of Israel’s illegal settlements in Palestine. Since the beginning of 2023, three deadly raids have been carried out by the Israeli military in the West Bank cities of Jenin, Jericho and Nablus. These preceded the pogrom in Huwara and its neighboring villages. At the time of writing, 84 Palestinians have been killed by either Israeli occupation forces or illegal colonial settlers; an average of one person killed every day of 2023, 15 of them were children. Please spare a couple of minutes to write to the Irish Minister of Foreign Affairs to raise the urgent case of Palestinian human rights defender Salah Hammouri, held without charge or trial by Israel under administrative detention since March 2022. The Israeli authorities have now revoked his Jerusalem residency, and plan to deport him from his home city of Jerusalem on Sunday 4 December.

In July, despite Israel’s record of apartheid, human rights abuses and international law violations, the 27 EU Foreign Ministers voted unanimously to reconvene the EU-Israel Association Council for the first time since 2012. This is an entirely retrograde move that will serve only to embolden Israel in its denial of Palestinian rights and freedoms. In the early hours of Thursday 29th July 2021, Israeli occupation forces raided the headquarters of Defence for Children International – Palestine, confiscating computers, laptops, hard-drives and confidential legal files related to child prisoners. The raid was conducted Israel’s notorious Border Police unit, which operates under the command of the Ministry of Public Security. Silwan is an area in Israeli-occupied and illegally annexed East Jerusalem that, like Sheikh Jarrah, is facing ongoing and imminent threats of ethnic cleansing. 1,500 Palestinians are under threat of having their homes demolished as Israel attempts to expel them and replace them with illegal Israeli settlers. Over 1,500 Palestinians from neighbourhoods in occupied East Jerusalem are facing threat of forced displacement and home demolitions by Israeli authorities. Children make up a large percentage of the families threatened with homelessness. Recently Israeli courts have ruled in favor of Israeli settlers and given four Palestinian families in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood until May to leave their homes. Today, April 17 is Palestinian Prisoners Day, the day of international solidarity with Palestinian political prisoners in Apartheid Israel’s jails. This year, there are more than 5,000 political prisoners incarcerated by apartheid regime, including more than 180 children, over 40 women and 430 people interned without charge or trail.
