The Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign is proud to present a speaking tour featuring Palestinian activist, farmer and former political prisoner Mousa Abu Maria. Mousa will visit Belfast (Mon 13), Cork (Wed 15), Limerick (Thur 16) and Dublin (Fri 17), and be speaking on the topic of ‘The Palestinian Nakba – An Ongoing Catastrophe’, to commemorate Nakba Week. Israeli academic to speak in Dublin and Cork in support of academic boycott of Israel

Professor Haim Bresheeth, a renowned Israeli-born academic and documentary film-maker, will be speaking in colleges in Dublin and Cork next week in support of the Teachers Union of Ireland (TUI) and its conference resolution supporting an academic boycott of Israel. At its Annual Congress on Thursday 4th April 2013, the Teachers’ Union of Ireland (TUI) became the first academic union in Europe to endorse the Palestinian call for an academic boycott of Israel. On Wednesday 20th February 2013, the TCD Department of Sociology in collaboration with the Centre for Post-Conflict Justice at TCD hosted a public lecture, Surveillance, Fear and Israeli Colonialism by Professor Nadera Shalhoub-Kevorkian of the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, a leading expert in the field of human rights and women’s rights in Israel/Palestine.
