Celebrating 14 years! Israeli Apartheid Week is an annual international series of events held across the globe. Each year, Israeli Apartheid Week takes place across the world. It aims to raise awareness about Israel’s ongoing settler-colonial project, apartheid policies over the Palestinian people,and to build support for the growing campaign of Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) against Israel. In pictures: ‘Boycott Israeli Goods’ day of action at Tescos nationwide

To coincide with the visit to Ireland by Riya Hassan of the Palestinian BDS National Committee, the Ireland-Palestine Solidairty Campaign organsied a ‘Boycott Israeli Goods’ day of action on Saturday 26th September focusing on the chain retailer Tesco across the island of Ireland. There were Boycott Israeli Goods information stalls and leafletting of shoppers in a dozen Irish towns and cities including Dublin, Belfast, Limerick, Cork, Galway, Dungannon, Naas, Kildare, Newbridge, Ennis and Sligo. In late March and early April the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign and several other organsiations are hosting special national film screening tour featuring the award winning new documentary about the military-industrial complex in Israel which explores how it is helping to turn Palestine’s blood into Israel’s profit. Anne Clinton: Palestine solidarity and anti-war activist – Rest in Power

The Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign, especially the Limerick branch, along with Shannonwatch and Gaza Action Ireland, would like to express our deep sadness at the passing of our dear friend Anne Clinton on Tuesday 6th May 2014. We would also like to extend our sincere sympathies to her husband Seán, brothers, sisters, extended family and friends. Anne was a warm, beautiful person who dedicated much of her life to solidarity with the Palestinian people. She participated in many actions for Palestine, from organising and attending talks and demonstrations, to working on stalls to better inform people about the situation in Palestine. … Continue reading

Report: Israeli Apartheid Week 2014

Between 1st and 8th March, Ireland took part in the 10th annual Israeli Apartheid Week with a series of events including meetings and protests organised by the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC). On Saturday 1st March, the Dublin IPSC branch of the kicked off  IAW with a Boycott Israeli Goods day of action. We visited four city centre supermarkets, making consumers aware of their presence, the connection between these products and the occupation of Palestine and asking people to boycott them. Some photos from the #StopPrawerPlan actions held around Ireland in Cork, Dublin and Limerick on Saturday 30th November 2013, as part of the international Day of Rage called for by Palestinian activists. The so-called Prawer Plan envisions the forced displacement of up to tens of thousands indigenous Palestinian Bedouin citizens of Israel from their ancestral land in the Naqab (Negev) desert in southern Israel and their removal to reservations, while the land is given over for the exclusive use of Israeli Jews.
