The Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC) supported the protest on Thursday 17th Novemeber in opposition US President-elect Trump that took place outside the US Embassy. The protest was called by a coalition of groups including the IPSC, United Against Racism, Friends of the Earth, ROSA and People Before Profit-Anti Austerity Alliance. Organisers said they were gravely concerned with the danger the Trump presidency poses, to the people of the US, Ireland, Palestine and the whole planet. The Irish Minister of State for Training, Skills and Innovation John Halligan is on an official visit to the Palestine-Israel region at the moment. We are informed that as part of his itinerary he is due to meet Naftali Bennett, the Israeli Minster for Education, to discuss “innovation and education”.
