WATCH: National Demonstration for Freedom & Justice in Palestine

On Saturday 10th June around 1,500 people from all over Ireland (and further afield) marched in a National Demonstration to mark the 50th anniversary of Israel’s occupation and illegal colonisation of the Palestinian West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza. The Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC) organised the event to convey a simple message, that  ‘100 years of injustice & 50 years of occupation is enough! Palestinian Freedom & Dignity Hunger Strike – Updated list of solidarity actions in Ireland

On Monday 17th April – Palestinian Prisoners’ Day – around 1,500 Palestinian political prisoners in Apartheid Israel’s jails began what they call the Freedom & Dignity Hunger Strike. The strike is calling for an end to the state of Israel’s practice of prisoner abuse, solitary confinement, torture, medical negligence and denial of rights guaranteed under international law—including the right to a fair trial and family visits. In Pictures: New Year’s Eve Vigils for Palestine in Dublin and Sligo

On New Year’s Eve, members and supporters of the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign in both Dublin and Sligo took to the streets to see out 2016 with displays of solidarity with the people of Palestine who face into another year of oppression, occupation, colonisation and injustice at the hands of the apartheid Israeli state. The gatherings were to mark the eighth anniversary of the 2008/09 massacre called ‘Operation Cast Lead’, when Israeli occupation forces attacked Gaza for 23 days killing over 1,400 Palestinians, including more than 300 children. In Pictures: Nakba 68 Protest in Dublin

On Saturday 14th May 2016 the IPSC held a march and ‘Moving Gallery’ to commemorate the Palestinian Nakba. Gathering at St. Stephen’s Green a large crowd marched down Grafton Street, around College Green over O’Connell Bridge and ended near the Jim Larkin statue outside the GPO on O’Connell Street. Protestors carried large photographs from Al Nakba, Palestinian and black mourning flags, and a giant key symbolising the Palestinian right of return to their homeland denied them by the State of Israel for 68 years. Israel’s system of permanent violence: The new Palestinian uprising in context

There has been an upsurge of violence in the Palestine-Israel region since October 1st. Settler attacks on Palestinians, which had been running at between 50 and 80 per month, have surged to over 120 attacks in the first week of October. To mark the 67th anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba, on Saturday 16th May 2014 the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign will held a ‘Nakba Moving Gallery’ on Saturday 16th May. In Pictures: Palestinian Prisoners’ Day protest in Dublin

On Thursday 16th April the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign held a solidarity action for Palestinian political prisoners held in Israeli jails at the top of Grafton Street. For an hour members and supporters, including many from the Palestinian community stood with placards, banners and flags in very effective visual display to get the message out to the public about the appalling plight of the Palestinian prisoners. Members and supporters of the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity campaign brought the Boycott Israeli Goods message to shoppers and shops in Dublin on 7th March 2015 by visiting several city centre outlets that stock Israeli goods, making consumers aware of their presence, the connection between these products and the occupation of Palestine and asking people to boycott them. 8000 strong petition handed to Dunnes Stores calling for a boycott of illegal Israeli settlement goods

On Wednesday 17th December members and supporters of the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign handed in a petition signed by over 8,000 people calling on Irish supermarket chain Dunnes Stores to make a public commitment that their outlets will not stock goods produced in illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories. The petition – signatures for which were collected on streets around Ireland during 2014 – was initiated to coincide with the 30th Anniversary of the 1984 Dunnes Stores anti-Apartheid strike by IDATU (now called Mandate) trade union members in Dublin’s Henry Street, and calls on Dunnes to support justice for … Continue reading

The death toll following Israel’s latest onslaught on Gaza stands at over 2,100, with more than 500 of those children. Actions, events and fundrasiers have been taking around Ireland over the past five weeks and continue to happen. It’s important that as many people as possible turn out to show their solidarity with the Palestinians people who have just lived through this third, and worst, major Israel onslaught in six years.
